facebook "jail"
So, since Saturday, Facebook has decided to lock my account and not let me back in. I had to send a photo to verify who I am, then wait to be reapproved to go back. I have an idea how this happened, but it's not that I did anything wrong. I've tweeted at facebook, I've waited as patiently as I can, but I'm still not getting any further at recovering my account.
Does anyone know how I can go about this successfully? Who to tweet, email, phone call?:shifty |
Re: facebook "jail"
One person I know that keeps getting thrown in FB jail has 30 day sentences. I don't know who she appeals to though. :(

Re: facebook "jail"
Fb customer service is horrendous.
When you are back, set up the phone verification and friend verification. |

Re: facebook "jail"
I've found an email and actually gotten a response. Please please pray this works because I'm so out of the loop even on local news because it is *all on facebook* if you don't have (can't afford) local newspapers.

Re: facebook "jail"
Hope it works.
I have you named your real name on fb, messenger lets you change people's name to nicknames. |
Re: facebook "jail"
I'm sorry this is happening! While I appreciate it when people use their real name, there are lots of instances where people can't do that and I wish Facebook could figure out a way to respect that.

Hoping this is resolved asap!

Re: facebook "jail"
it has been since 430pm and it's now 4 hours later without an email back from facebook support. :(

Re: facebook "jail"
It looks like you have been paroled. I can access you page again.

Re: facebook "jail"
I'm going to try to find alternative ways of contacting people other than Facebook. Their algorithms that push certain personality types into oblivion and indications from them they'll start "policing" the "truth" are just making it seem like it's not going to work out.

Re: facebook "jail"
I know someone who shared an image of a piece of art on her wall years ago and just recently got zucc'd for it. It was an honest mistake but access to the account was removed without even a "hey could you take this down?" It's the social media equivalent of being sent to your room without dinner. There was nothing my friend could do but wait out the punishment.
