How do you clean microfiber couch cushions?
The covers can be removed from the cushions. Can I machine wash them? Handwash? Do they go in the dryer, or line dry, or what?

I have no idea how you are -supposed- to, but I usually get a kitchen sponge and scrub them with water & dish soap. :giggle

As do I, but we tried woolite on some strawberry-smash incidents. I now have soap rings. Augh. :doh
I've been scrub-rinsing them but just get ever-larger soap rings. I think they could use a good whirl in the washing machine, sans soap, but am scared. They're new and all, not like they're on their last legs, but still. |
Re: How do you clean microfiber couch cushions?
I'm not sure :think
if you decide to put them in the wash I would turn them inside out and use cold water with a small amount of soap. Then I would hang them to dry. Have you tried googling it? you might get ideas from others who have tried it and what they did or wouldn't do again. |
Re: How do you clean microfiber couch cushions?
I took the cover off one of my cushions to wash it and then found a tag somewhere that said you shouldn't take them off it was REALLY hard to get itback on, and then the cushion looked funny for a while like thecover didn't fit right. It's fine now though months later.

Re: How do you clean microfiber couch cushions?
I regularly put mine in the washing machine. I use cold water, with half the soap in a front loader. At first I just put them in the dryer on a cold air cycle until damp. Now I dry them completely. I was surprised how well they come out because I had a professional steam cleaner tell me that he wouldn't clean my sofas because they would have streaks. I bought a Bissel Green Machine to take care of the rest of the sofa with decent results. :shrug3

I wash mine in the washer like anything else, regular detergent and pop in the dryer :shrug They look brand new when done, everything else I've tried leaves water spots/marks.

Re: How do you clean microfiber couch cushions?
For ones that cant go in washer I take an old towel and a spray bottle of water with couple drops of dish detergent and a little non-chlorine bleach and just spray them and rub down with the towel
