Re: easy, cute, (rather inexpensive) gift crafts... without sewing?
I grew extra garlic this year in preparation for our Christmas gifts. I bought sparkly 12" scrapbook paper and I'm folding gift bags that will fit two heads of garlic. Which doesn't sound like much of a gift, and maybe it's not. But whether the recipients appreciate it or not, this represents many hours of loving labor :heart because this year I had more time than money.
Presentation counts! So the bags will be cute and elegant. Each head of garlic has its own tag showing which category and cultivar it is ("Silverskin, Nootka Rose" etc.) and briefly describes its unique flavor and whether it's best for baking or sauteeing etc. So I'm going for a sophisticated, foodie-themed gift. Whether anybody appreciates it... :shrug3 :giggle |
