How long does Dr Bronners keep?
I have a bottle of Dr Bronners that I bought for S as a newborn 4 years ago and there is still half left.
It smells ok but I was wondering what kind of shelf life it has and if I need to buy a new bottle in April for Sproglet? |
Re: How long does Dr Bronners keep?
That's an interesting question. I don't have any definitive answer for you, but I have never thought of soap as going bad. I'd say if there's no mold in it, and it's still clear, I'd use it as a soap.
But, just because I'm saying "I'd use it," I have to add that I actually wouldn't use it on a baby because it's still a harsh soap. But I hardly use any products on babies anyway. Maybe for washing hands? (Well no, it's just me, but I'd just use a wet cloth for baby hands!) |
Re: How long does Dr Bronners keep?
Do you have any alternative products you would recommend instead?
I don't use it often on my babies (hence still having half a bottle left after 4 years) but my babies have all had bad reflux and sometimes no amount of plain water will shift the smell in their creases :yuck |
