Public Showers

So, I showered at the gym today, but I'd forgotten to bring flip-flops, so I went barefoot. What can I do to my feet to discourage the growth of any kind of fungus I may have unwittingly picked up? :shifty

I'm not an expert but I would suggest tea tree oil if you have any.

Soak 'em in hot water and rub 'em down with a pumice stone. Then TTO.

I always forget mine and never had a problem :shrug3 Maybe I need to be more careful.

I don't have pumice or TTO.

What about baking soda? Coconut oil? Garlic?

(No idea; just spitballing here.) :shifty

Re: Public Showers

treat your feet with red apple cider vinegar or peroxide then let them dry and keep them dry. It can't grow on dry feet.

Re: Public Showers

coconut oil should be fine. Also raw cidar vinegar always works.

Re: Public Showers

we just use regular vinegar to kill fungal outbreaks

Re: Public Showers

that is good to know.... The raw apple cider is expensive!

Give them a good wash and go barefoot.

Re: Public Showers

apple cider vinegar
tea tree oil
coconut oil (this works the best, IME)

Some people (like me) are really prone to fungal infections while others never get them. :sigh

Re: Public Showers

DD gets them often, so this was very helpful for me. I may dilute the vinegar, though. We use coconut oil, tea tree oil (dilute), yogurt applied directly to skin, and water/baking powder mixture.
