What material for bathroom storage bins?

I like clean lines and no clutter. I'm planning to get an over the toilet rack and place matching baskets on the shelves -- one for each family member -- that will contain the necessary unshared personal care items to get ready each morning. (Excluding toothbrush.)

The family member can access their basket, place it on the nice, dry, large counter. Get ready. Then replace items in basket and put back on shelf.

What material should I choose for the baskets? I'm leaning towards a canvas, although tall, rigid sides are very appealing.

Moisture in the air and the inevitable counter puddle needs to be considered.

Honestly, I would probably choose plastic baskets. They can be easily wiped down if they get wet or soapy. A fabric bin would probably need washing fairly regularly to stay clean, and some fabric bins would be spot-clean only bc they might not hold their shape after going through the washing machine. There are nicer looking plastic baskets available now. Target has tons because of back to school/back to college.

I bought wire ones from Amazon. Ours mount on the wall but they have ones that don't. I found a lot when I searched Amazon for wire baskets.

I am using a magazine type rack next to sink. We love it. I’ll see if I can link.

Honestly, I don't care for those free-standing over the toilet racks at all! I love the idea of wall- mounted wire baskets. I need to think through the hole situation. I could put hooks into pallet boards and secure the ends of the boards into the studs. Four holes into the wall, 2 pallet boards, nicer looking than a cheap rack and cheaper to boot..... :think

Did you line your baskets? Seeing the contents would visually overwhelm me.

Could you use some heavy-duty 3M hooks to hang wire baskets? I guess it depends how heavy the items are.

Placed on the counter or the floor? I am not visualizing it, but I'm intrigued.

Upon getting settled, I was super glad to realize that there's enough under counter space for all our stuff. :phew. :tu
