Tonight DH is making taco skillet while I snuggle with our baby. :hearts I put together his favorite berry crumble earlier today, though, so we'll have that for dessert.

We make pizza dough using bread flour (it's sturdier) roll it out, and put directly on the grill grates. Flip it once the bottom's set, grill both sides to a decent done-ness, add toppings, and remove when cheese is melted and the rest looks done. DH rolls the dough pretty thin; It's crisp and smoky that way.

We usually do this assembly-line style on a table next to the grill. (Ours is charcoal.) All the crusts are rolled out on parchment and stacked and the toppings lined up in order next to them so that the kids can choose what they want. Sometimes we grill all the crusts first. They freeze just fine if you have extras. Just top and heat in the oven. (At the end of the summer we sometimes grill a bunch to keep and use after frill season is over. Our grill is inaccessible once it snows. :giggle)

I can't remember what we used for GF dough when we made it. It's been a year or so since then.

If you've got any questions I'm happy to answer. :)

No time for popcorn; it was just over 2 hours from the time I told DH that the baby would be coming today to the time she arrived!

Tonight was sushi, DS2's 1/2 birthday dinner request. :yum

It's a great warm weather dinner. Traditionally it's made with some type of salami or ham, but I use whatever my kids want from the deli (pastrami or buffalo chicken lately) and as long as there are pickles and olives on it, they will scarf it down. We load on some veggies (cukes and tomatoes are their favorites, sometimes peppers) and I make my own olive tapenade.

It received rave reviews. :rockon

This is the recipe I used:
https://www.thespruce.com/strawberry...e-cake-3053892

I cut the sugar in half but I always do for recipes so my family is used to less sweet. :shrug It's also gluten, but all my gf family were out of town. :shifty I imagine it'd be pretty similar with a gf ap flour mix if needed.

So good! We will definitely make again!
