what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
ideas for what i can do with eggs - i have a dozen goose eggs, so they are big!! maybe not a dozen. anway, lots of eggs. i dont want them to go to waste, but i'm just not in the mood for eggs lately :-/ if i can cook them into something that can be frozen for post partum that would be good!
anyone have ideas? i was thinking maybe some sort of tater tot, egg, cheese thing? i have lots of disposable catering pans i bought for freezing things in :) |

You could make up some breakfast soft tacos/taquitos and wrap them individually for freezing. We usually put sausage or bacon, cheese and veggies in ours.

Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
you can also just crack and freeze them. an icecube tray works but might not be big enough for goose eggs. maybe try 1-2 eggs in a ziploc.

You can actually crack them open, scramble them up a bit and freeze them to defrost for baking later :yes. (cross posted :giggle)

Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
You can make mini muffins to freeze out of scrambled egg and any kind of meat veggie cheese meat combo and pour into well oiled muffin tin and baking

I was also going to suggest the mini-egg cups. Great for quick breakfasts. Quiche? I would think you could freeze that.
Also wondering if goose eggs taste like chicken eggs. |
Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
i dont know what they taste like. i was craving them when i acquired them, then never ate them...:giggle
i like the taquito idea. i have a bunch of tortillas. that would be easy :tu |

Goose eggs? Duck eggs I have heard, but goose?
Incubate them? :shifty :lol |
Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
i wil be super grossed out if any of them are cracked open to reveal half formed goslings.

Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
what about meatloaf? That takes a couple of eggs and freezes really well.

Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
You scramble & bake in a muffin tin to premake mcmuffins for the freezer.
I've also preassembled quiche & froze:yes |
Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
So I want to double check them before cooking them since they were given to me by a friend. If I put them in a big bowl of water, they should stay at the bottom right? Floaters = no good?
|
Re: what to do with eggs, that i can freeze
Correct. Floaters are bad eggs.

It is very strange to see this thread title right below "BFP or evap line."
I did a double-take. |
