What's the problem with coconut milk?
 

I've been indefinitely vegan for the past two weeks and have discovered So Delicious coconut milk.

I've cooked with canned coconut milk many times before, so I'm not new to the taste, but never considered it a milk alternative for drinking. :shrug3

Anyway, I am over the moon about the taste of the sweetened vanilla coconut milk. It makes a wonderful dessert. Tastes just like a milkshake!

So, besides the sugar--cause that's just obvious--what's wrong with coconut milk? There's got to be something about it, some soy-milk-like controversy, that I haven't discovered yet that's going to snatch this cup-o-heaven from me.

mmmmm coconut milk. Coconut is SUPER good for you. Lots of great fats, carbs that don't spike your sugar, tons of fiber. Not a lot of protein, but I don't see anything wrong with drinking sweetened coconut milk once in a while as a treat :shrug3

I think with the stuff in the carton you are looking at some fortifications that aren't derived from natural sources or very bioavaliable. But I think those would be the only controversies.
