Wow. I'm a wimp about heat. Anything triple digits is hard for me. We once went to a church function at a park when it was about 108 and it was torture for me! I can't imagine 118! And to me what is funny is that all these places that are super hot were settled before air conditioning existed, so some people lived there with no a/c!

And they wore so much too! I remember reading Little House books where they were sweating and miserable and they HAD to wear ALL those yards of fabric. No no no. I would have been nekkid in the creek. Caroline would've hated me.

I have a dear friend headed to Yuma for his first teaching job. It's 85 here and he's talking about the heat. Yikes.

I think about that any time heat and old times mix. :lol I feel like Im going to pass out if I have more than the bare minimum of clothes on when I have to be outside doing anything exerting on days where it's close to 90 degrees (we rarely pass that). I would have just died or been stoned for being a nudist back in the day. :giggle Women were like working the fields in more clothes than I wear in winter. :no
