Crockpot baked beans from dry beans?
I want to try making baked beans from dry beans instead of canned this year. Anyone have a good recipe, or advice on what kind of beans to buy? Seriously, I just realized that I don't even know what kind of bean they use for the canned versions. :bag

Navy beans are traditional but you can use other beans or a mixture. Soak overnight in triple the volume of water. Drain and rinse thoroughly the next morning. Proceed with your recipe.

I use navy beans. :yes
I recently starting doing my own beans from dry and I'm amazed at how simple it is... :popcorn for recipes for baked beans. I have a baked bean lover in my household so I'm always interested in good recipes. :heart |
