Sheet Pan Dinners
Are these new or have they been around a long time? I've just recently heard of them, and I can't think of anything easier than the clean up of one pan after dinner. :rockon
I'd love it if you'd share sheet pan recipes that you've seen that looked good, sheet pan recipes that you've tried, or sheet pan recipes you want to try. It would be fun to get a good list going. I"ll be back with recipes. Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I love sheet pan dinners but I always forget to put them on the menu. :doh
Our favorite is Salmon with Asparagus and Potatoes. I'm sure I have others but I can't think of them ATM. There's a book called Sheet Pan Suppers by Molly Gilbert that's really good. I've gotten it quite a few times from the library. Not all of the recipes are dinners but the recipes I've tried are good. |

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I don't think they are a new idea but I think the recipes being collected together and called a thing is new. I also have a recipe of my own that I have done a number of times, that my family love, and I would also like to do more of these. Thank for the thread and the links.

I will have to look for one, I don't have one that's quite the same as those. I just use my grill pan in the oven when I bake a large amount like roast vegetables for the family. Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I will see if I can find it online, it's one I tried a few years ago and really liked it, but basically it's chicken thigh, onion, garlic cloves, Chunks of potato, and cherry tomatoes added later. Balsamic vinegar and olive oil and a sprinkle of brown sugar. I just throw in what I fancy these days so sweet potato and carrot tend to go in everything I roast.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I was just looking at Cooking Classy before I came over here, and I was admiring the sheet pan dinner that is the latest post.
I love cooking on my stoneware bar pan. I really need to get a second pan, though, because one doesn't hold quite enough for us. Two pans would fit in the oven perfectly. Anyway, I have made similar things that I just call "tired mom meal" because I can set it in there any forget it. I have just cut up chicken breasts and tossed them in whatever oil/seasoning I did the veggies in and added them to the pan. I sometimes add some chick peas, and serve it over rice, quinoa, or couscous. Those all look much better, LOL. |

https://www.pamperedchef.com/shop/St...e+Bar+Pan/1446 It is the size of a jelly roll pan, I think. I love it because it is so seasoned, nothing sticks and nothing burns (not even cookies!) and it is easy to clean. Mine is deep brown and black now. I don't remember it looking light brown like that one! Also, mine has a look more like the medium bar pan, with the built in handles. |
Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
Oh wow. Not sure we can get pampered chef here. Will research what alternatives there are. I'm wondering about a Le creuset type of dish for this kind of meal.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
That will be difrent, you want some thing shallow so the air can get to it.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
Mine is very similar to this. Do you have something like that, Sal? It's basically a cookie sheet with a low rim.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
Can you use Pyrex? I'm concerned about using my aluminum for this.
