Help me advise a friend...
 

She has a 20 month old son with severe eczema and food allergy stuff that they can't figure out, and she is really feeling overwhelmed and tired because she says he is still waking up at least a couple times in the night. They are not attachment parent-ers at all. He sleeps alone in another room and so when he wakes up they let him cry it out for a long time and when it just continues and continues, they finally go in and pick him up for a bit--to make the crying stop--and then lay him back down again. She weaned him at 1 year.
She asked me to pray for her because she says she is tired and it's been a rough season.
I'm going to email her about considering letting him sleep near them, if not with them. I want to tell her that he is himself going through a rough season, undoubtedly, and that maybe he needs to be near them at night to get him through this difficult time in his little life. I'm sharing with her my story of how we have co-slept with both of our girls and how much easier it is for us. But I'm also leaving room for family differences, saying that obviously there are other dynamics to their family that might be different than ours, but that I thought maybe they should consider a change.
Is there anything else you would add???
