Tilapia Filets -- How do you cook em???????

I got them fresh at Sprouts so they didn't come with instructions on the label... I'm not really a fish person and my xh always cooked them, so I'm clueless. . . How would I season? Do I bake or pan fry? How long? (I always tend to overcook fish b/c I get grossed out by undercooked fish. . . but I would like to try and have it taste good this time!!!

I want to do this for supper tonight. . . Anyone??

THANKS!!!

DH pan fries them in a lot of oil with salt and pepper and maybe some kind of peppery seasoning. I don't eat fish, but he says they are delicious. :think

I usually just brush with olive oil, season them (I have various seasoning blends I use depending on my mood -- herbes de provence is usually a good one) and bake them til they're done.

Ok. . . both sound yummy. . . BUT

1. How long does your DH pan fry them, and

2. How can you tell they're done

:smile

They are done when they look opaque or more of a solid white and flake easily with a fork....not very long at all. :rockon

Thanks.. . So, I feel like a total idiot for asking this, but are we talking no long as in 15-20 minutes, or not long as in only a few minutes. . . and is that baking or being pan fried...

Seriously, I feel so silly asking, but Noah has been asking for fish for a few days now and I've promised and don't want to ruin them!!

I do Tilapia Picatta served over orzo with parsley and tomatoes - so fast and SO GOOD. It's a Cooking Light recipe from a few years back - if you search their website it will come up.
