Multi-Disciplinary Curriculum -- Share what you've used

Programs that combine more than one conventional subject into a seamless unit or program. There may be some overlap between this thread and the "all-in-one" thread. It's okay to post a resource in both if you think it fits in both.

I'll update this OP as people post. Feel free to leave a personal review, ask questions, etc. Even if you see a program already listed, feel free to add your own personal review in the thread.

This listing is not an endorsement by GCM.

Re: Multi-Disciplinary Curriculum -- Share what you've used

I used the book "Geography Through Art" to teach a class at our co-op. It was really fun.

I bought "The Science Chef" and "The Math Chef" for another class I taught and was very disappointed. They were mainly simple recipe books with just a few science tidbits and arithmetic problems. The science book had the kind of explanation I'd give to a preschooler who asked, "why do onions make me cry." The math book just had generic arithmetic problems that used some of the ingredients from the recipe. "If Sam has 10 eggs and Sally breaks 3," etc. I ended up doing a lot of research and prep when I taught this class. I basically developed the class from scratch and donated the books.

We enjoyed several of the curriculums from My Father's World

For hands on learning and frontier/homesteading buffs, the Prairie Primer is tons of fun. Incorporates all subjects except math.
