What are your favourite dishes that have STEAK?

We get half a cow every year and are nearing the end of our annual supply. We have lots of different cuts of steak left. So I need some great ideas on how to make lots of different meals with it.

Obviously we can do a typical steak dinner. But what else do you make? And please include recipes/instructions if possible.

I have thought about stir fry and fajitas...

And I could cut it up for stew...

Anything else?

Fajitas definitely. On top of salads too.

:cup for more ideas.

Love it in stew.

Another thing I like to make if you have a panini maker is a wrap. Just slice the steak into strips and marinate it in whatever fajita marinade you use and saute it . Then add whatever you like to your wrap; cheese, sour cream, guac, beans, rice, etc and then I press it in the panini maker. Of course it would still be great without the extra press in the panini maker.

thai beef with basil.

an onion, halved and sliced
mushrooms, maybe 8-16 oz.
1 cup or so packed fresh basil
1 tsp fish sauce, 1 tsp. brown sugar or molasses, 1 tsp. tamari
coconut oil
1 steak (about a pound) sliced very thin across the grain

Place beef in the fish sauce, brown sugar/molasses, tamari...stir well...set aside at RT
Heat coconut oil
Saute onions/mushrooms, until slightly soft
Add beef...stir fry barely until cooked
Remove from heat...stir in basil

Serve over rice or salad. :yum

Beef Stroganoff (sp?)

I use the recipe on the McCormick seasoning package. Except I make twice the sauce, so two seasoning packs with one portion of beef and noodles. It's really, really good. :yum

What is this? Just fried rice with beef? Or something entirely different? Never heard of it.

Yea, its just like chicken fried rice except you use real thin slices of beef. Actually its best if you use a little beef, little chicken, little pork...mmmmm....

Slice it when just thawed a little, but still firm

Quesadillas. Layer meat and cheese on tortilla, cover w. another, fry, and dip in salsa and sour cream. :yum
