:O we didnt use to. you bet we do now. but we didnt because they would aggravate our allergies and i didnt know how to sneak them before i had to know how to sneak them.

oh, and i dont recommend castor oil unless nothing else has worked for children. but if one has to, it hides very well in chocolate syrup (i add flax seed to thicken like a fudge), poured over ice cream.

eta:i was thinking on this while making dinner. dh has always eaten tons of fresh garlic and onion, i have had it at every meal for him. but when the entire family had to take meds, he still passed parasites. i think the only true indicator is how a person is feeling. like any chronic aches/probs along with the condition of their digestive system. dh has never had the health probs we have/had  :shrug kind of like why do some mosquitos just like certain people, same with lice  :shrug they often cause probs for people who are compramised in some way or maybe something going on in the body that cant be seen or detected by just appearance.
:nak2

Eta: thanks to a recommendation from another mom i felt the need to come back and add one more recommendation. Diatomaceous earth. Its the easiest and tasteless thing to use. We now take this as our yearly cleanse.

It's interesting that they regularly test animals for this, but not humans. Why is this? :scratch

i honestly dont know. maybe because the tests are so inacurate. my family dr gave us the meds off the symptoms alone. didnt bother with the tests.
and before them my ob wouldnt take me serious with my complaints until her nurse told me it sounded like a parasite she had had in college.
they dont do testing either so thats why i had to go to my family dr.

with the odds being so high with children i really dont understand why they dont consider parasites in children first when there are stomach problems before they start doing more invasive things. :sadno

other countries and cultures do, perhaps its more of a taboo thing here in the United States :shrug

Maybe people are just so grossed out by it that they don't walk to talk about it. Good thing we can talk about anything on GCM. :P~

:yes
I also came back to add that ginger snaps made with fresh ground cloves and a quality molasses is a good thing to add to kids' diet.

ETA: I don't know anything about the website, I was just searching for information on giving black walnut to kids.

black walnut is in paranix junior :yes It's a great antiparasitical :yes

We have used Paranil Jr from Dr Colonix site. The kids at first don't like it and ended up liking it alot.
I will probably do it again when I can get someone to bring from the US for me.

Returning to add that we all got the flu and started taking high doses of vitamin c. At the same time I got awful food poisoning from the hotel we were in. And wouldn't you know it. Its a great antiparasite. Not sure if it was really food poisoning or something else.

What can I use that is safe during pregnancy...is the oil of oregano and the clay safe?

---------- Post added at 03:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:47 PM ----------

Also, which brand oil of oregano would you buy? THere are a million sources out there.

I get my clay from earthslivingclay.com I took it during pregnancy and it even helped me through preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and as an antibiotic when I found out my little newborn was allergic to me taking it(antibiotics-keflex). Not to mention the clay is an awesome c-section healer/scar fader! And I also used it for thrush in place of meds when natural didn't work.

We use oil of oregano p73 specifically.north american is the brand I trust. You've got to be careful with oregano oils. Let me see if u can take it while pregnant.

---------- Post added at 03:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:00 PM ----------

Ok. Here's where I stand. If you google the brand+safe while pregnant you will get their site and it says it is safe and even has a chart for amounts. It is considered GRAS with the fda which generally recognized as safe for comsumption. That is the same rating the clay I take has.
I researched and for centuries clay has been taken by pregnant women and I took it with great success (though I was careful to stay hydrated) soooooo I haven't done any research with oregano oil and this particular type being used by pregnant woman in that area so I guess its pretty much your call. I will add. I would personally feel safer taking a natural herb used for centuries over a medication used for say 5 years.

I agree with you! I already ordered the oil of oregano and the paranix jr. for the kids. I already have a bunch of clay from ELC, mixed up...we just haven't taken it in a while.

I need to get back on that.
