Or you could just go to Dr. Schultz's website for his American Botanical Pharmacy www.herbdoc.com and order his already made tinctures. We love his stuff and they really work! He recommends putting herbal formulas in a teaspoon of pure maple syrup to get kids to take it.

Oh I am subbing to this thread.

I ordered the supplies to make this on my next co-op order. It has been on my "list" of things to do for months but we moved and I keep putting it off.

Now I can't wait......I haven't ever known anyone else that made it.

Well, it is absolutely disgusting. Burns on the way down and just GROSS :sick But it's amazing how well it works. I thought I was coming down with strep. Took this 2 times and woke up the next day fine. That was over 10 days ago and I never got sick.

I have never heard of Dr. Schultz tinctures but you can get Cyclone cider herbal tonic.

I am getting some for my kids as they can't tolerate the homemade. They took it once with o.j. - I figured anyway I can get them to take it. Luke's face turned so red and he coughed for about 1/2 hour. He cried in fear when I got it out recently. So I skipped it

I will continue to do homemade for me because it just works so stinkin great. :tu I don't care how bad it tastes. ANything that works this great is worth stomaching!

Hmm. . . onion and radish juice? Interesting. Mine tastes more like garlic and onion fire (as in super super super spicy :P ).

LOL A part of the problem may be I don't like radishes so I can't imagine radish juice. but you are right, it's almost impossible to describe the flavor :giggle

ha! and I saw the list of ingredients thinking, "that would make a pretty neat flavored vinegar for dressing bases!" :shifty

Fresh Horseradish is by the other root veggies in the produce department. I couldn't find it anywhere but at the regular grocery. I tried Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, the Coop. Maybe it was time of year though - I don't know when it's in season

It looks like a really thick parsnip with a wierd shaped end. For me, it was the most expensive ingredient in the tonic :)

I have another brew going - it will be done Sunday :)

The first time I made some, I looked everytime I shopped and it took almost 2 months to find :jawdrop. You can probably ask the produce department to order you some :think
