Living books on historical scientists for early elementary?

Do these exist? I want books that are interesting and will hold attention and not be a chore to read- books about Euclid, Ptolemy, Aristotle, Pythagoras, etc. I'm interested in books or series you have personally read and enjoyed.

I am going to buy both Mathematicians are People, Too books- I know that already.

Jeanne Bendick's books are good. We've read Archimedes, Galileo, and Herodotus. She's got one on Galen and early medicine that I don't have. there might be more.

I've got a really nice picture book on Mendel. I can't remember the author, though.

That's it off the top of my head.

Our library has a great selection of juvenile biographies that my kids really like. It's worth looking.

For the specific people you mentioned, my kids liked "What's Your Angle Pythagoras?" a lot and I think there was a sequel too.

What's the age range on these? I saw those but thought they were more for upper elementary.

I read them out loud when my kids were . . . . .K, 3rd and 5th grades? :think yeah, they were probably more engaging for the older two, but we do a lot of that sort of thing.

Mendel is a picture book, so it definitely worked for my younger two as well.

I think Sonlight includes a biography in each of their elementary science programs.
