You know you love your child, but does she know? write up a long lost of ways you can show your love for your child. Put it on the refrigerator and add to it. Do two things form that list daily. Be generous with physical affection with young children and those who are moving through their school years. Boys need hugs and kisses as much as girls do.

you know, I have been feeling convicted about this lately. Just that I know I love her, but does she know? It seems the only thing that comes out of my mouth is "Anneka, come here" "get dressed" "heres your lunch" "stop taking toys away from your brother" etc etc etc... but I have realized as I go through the day and tell her I love her more, tell her I appreciate her, give lots of hugs and kisses, cooperation is SO MUCH BETTER!
you would think it would be so much more simple to do it this way... but for some reason it just doesnt occur to me sometimes :O

this is where her book "I Love You Rituals" and Cohen's "Playful Parenting" have really blessed us :) And knowing each of their Love Languages so I can make sure to hear what they're speaking and speak what they can hear :)

how can you figure out their love languages- especially young ones? can you do it without buying a book ;)

I also notice that it changes things a lot around my house if I stop for a minute to tell DD that I love her. She's 3 & so responsive to that kind of thing. If she's feeling bad she always wants hugs & kisses & a snuggle.
