A local restaurant has one that I dream about. I haven't found a great recipe, though. Now I'm thinking of stimulus check carry-out . . .

Kroger Delivery Kitchen does hot food delivery . . and we did it a few times when we were busy and they were new to our area so had 50% off codes. She loves their Vegan burger.

I wonder if I can google the recipe. :think

I use about
20 oz of tvp
3 eggs
1/2 cup bread crumbs OR 1 bag Morningstar Crumbles
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 onion, grated OR 1 tsp onion powder OR 1 packet onion soup
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp summer savory
oil for frying.

I soak the tvp and then add all the ingredients. I put in the eggs last. Mush it all up, form into pattis, and fry or bake. If it's too wet, add in more oatmeal. Or you can just sub in oatmeal if you don't have bread crumbs.

what is TVP?

Textured vegetable protein. Usually available in the bulk section of health food stores. I have to keep soy to a minimum so I don't use it.

These are the ingredients, according to the menu.

quinoa, zucchini, carrot and seeds. The patty is yellowish.

Yeah, probably not getting TVP from an lack of convenience stand point. I usually do a combo of beans, mushrooms, and/or veggies. Well, always beans. I found a recipe online I am going to try.

I have a ton of canned black beans. Anyone have a good burger recipe that uses black beans?

I *always* use black beans. I did again today. It was good but not amazing. . . again. Dh and dd liked it enough. I am now waiting for a better black bean recipe in response to your request.

It's pretty close to the recipe I use. Actually, it's pretty much the initial recipe I have used but I've branched out trying to come up with a better one. TY!

Thanks for this post! My dh went on a plant based diet several months ago so I'm learning so much. I haven't tried a meatless burger yet but it sounds perfect for the summer grilling months.

I like doing an unusual meatless burger. It is made as a usual burger but without any meat. I replace it with apple and cheddar. It becomes really tasty, light and sweetish. I like doing it at summer when I am bored from meat.
