what causes bags under the eyes? my husband has developed this and its really bothering him. he said the internet said "get more sleep" and "put a potato on it" and he thinks those are both stupid answers. i'm not sure what exactly he's looking for but any suggestions are welcome.

i've always heard it had to do with dairy allergies or dehydration.

Dehydration is the big one. Sleep is relevant too especially with the uncertainty and stress of the whole job thing

Yep, allergies. Food or environmental.

I have major problems with this.
Here is what has made a noticeable difference for me:

1. Stay away from super salty foods (i.e fast food, pizza, potato chips, processed foods)

2. Plenty of water

3. Use a product for the eye area with coffee in it. Coffee reduces puffiness. It's the best thing I've found so far as far as skincare goes. I use Skin by Ann Webb Coffee Berry skin stick.

My undereye probs have improved dramatically.

It's not dark. He gets dark circles from seasonal allergies for sure.

He will not make any dietary changes. I might be able to get him to drink more water and apply a product of some sort as part of his morning/evening routine.

It is hard to change diet/eating habits.

After my last post, I wanted to add that salty foods are the worst offender. I notice a difference under my eyes even after one salty meal. :shrug3

Not very encouraging, :shifty but that's been my deal.
