how do you cheer up your home? Like if you had a fireplace you could start a fire in it but what do you do for a similar effect if you don't have a fireplace? We've had some dark and dreary days and the evenings are getting earlier- I need something to improve the mood in my home at those times.

Hurricane lamps, candles, lots of blankets, hot beverages, and put up twinkle lights early. Ooooo...now I'm getting all fall feverish!

Christmas lights, a scented candle, and music (usually Enya or some quiet hymns).

According to my children: Do NOT play the fireplace yule log thing on TV. It sucks all joy and happiness right out of the house. It is an insult to the TV, and everyone in the living room. :rolleyes

I light a candle, sip a cup of coffee or tea, curl up on the couch and turn on some low lights.

Get a bunch of candles and put them on a shelf. It gives that "glow" from a fireplace. I do the boiling cinnamon water... I also put pumpkin pie spice in there sometimes. Add in some essential oils and you have a spa!
