I just got an Excalibur Dehydrator (thanks to MollyCurls! :heart) & I have been having fun with it this strawberry season.

However, storing dehydrated food is foreign to me, and I don't have it in my head that it will last.

I have about 5 trays worth of fruit leather. Right now, it's in a zipper bag in the fridge. Is that a good place for it? How long can I expect it to last?

I also have a few trays of dried strawberries. How can I store those, and how long can I expect them to last? They are not crunchy (well, some are), they're a little rubbery.

I know this is from last year but I've been having fun with a dehydrator this spring myself and was curious how well things stored. I've been keeping things in glass jars, including some nicer ones on the kitchen counter for easy access. My girls have been taking some with them to work etc. I THINK if they are fully dehydrated they are supposed to last a year :shrug3

None of what I made went to waste, though we ate it all pretty quickly, so I didn't get to experiment with its limits.
