Everything in our living room is brown toned. Mssr Lamp is out of place. I was thinking of using rustoleum paint on it to make it make but idk. Any tips I I do? Suggestions?http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/19/japyzyhe.jpg

You can buy spray paint and paint it any color you want. I've done that before :tu I did rough up the surface a little before painting just to make sure it stuck.

Should the top white part be done too? I'm a lighter color? I wish I could distress it in someway. :think

No I think it will look good white still. Not sure about distressing it - possibly using an sos pad on it after it's dried - although the silver would show through I think?

I'd leave the white as is and paint the rest with teal:yes If you haven't spray painted before, do some practice runs on some trash first. I know this is a good idea because I have chairs in my kitchen that were my first time using spray paint:cry:giggle

Yep teal was my thought.

I wonder if you could modge podge or starch the outside of the white part? Does it get hot? Then you could do some paper or fabric to change it.

I'm trying to stain it with coffee and tea and vinegar. Not sure it will work but worth a shot.

I'm not painting it teal. I don't own a single teal item

Stain didn't work even though I too steel wool to it. Eh. I think it looks fine. :shrug
