Our new house has 12 foot ceilings on the main floor. We need to paint since the landlords didn't have time. I think they need to be light. The living room especially has a lot of changing light throughout the day. Our couch is a tan sectional from Ikea. The floors are laminate in that color most people buy. The trim is painted, so we need to paint that as well. Currently it is a bizarre light lavender in the living room. It looks strange at all times of the day to me.

Wood Smoke
Refreshing Mimosa
Sun washed Kelp
Light Willow
Antique White

I was thinking a red for the back door in te kitchen. But, I might just do a little red curtain because it has a window.

I think the green will be the main living room.

My SIL is really awesome with decorating and didn't like the green or grey for this house. Boo Hoo. I got some more chips. We haven't even approached the energy needed for painting yet.

I LOVE green in main living spaces and the chip you have looks pretty nice to me. :shrug3 Can you share some pictures of the house? It may help with finding colors too.

That green seems kinda dark to me.

Maybe it's just that SHE doesn't like those colors. If you like them...

We have Behr Sanctuary (a sage green) in our family room and it has really tall ceilings.

We also have mango in our kitchen, which I love b/c it is so bright and cheery.

My SIL is really good with houses and knows us well. I trust her way more than my own instincts. My DH and I are highly affected by color in our surroundings.

How is the light? Our living room is on one corner of the house and doesn't get a lot of sun during the day really. The sun filters around the room and we end up with lots of shadows. So it is currently a light lavender shade and one side looks like that but through the day one half looks grey at times.
