Just what the title says! I love chai lattes and would love to buy a good syrup to make them at home, but it would be a rare treat and I don't want to invest in a special tool to make the froth (which is the BEST bit as far as I'm concerned!).

I get something like froth by shaking the bottle of creamer. :shrug3 I have very low standards for coffee. :giggle
Here are some simple instructions (http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-milk-foam-without-100716) - only need milk, a jar and a microwave.

Just tried that trick Jamie and my froth ended up all over the microwave. Maybe I made my milk too hot and filled my jar too much, although it was less than half full! I'm drinking a very disappointing frothless hot chocolate as I type. :giggle

I think if you pour the milk into a blender, that could work. :think
Do you happen to live near an ikea? This handy little thing does the trick: http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/10076320/
Oh! You can get it on amazon! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002Y6FBU2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1368536097&sr=1-1&pi=SL75

Yup, that Ikea thingie works great, though in my experience, the foam goes down rather quickly. Or maybe I just need to froth longer.
Also, a bit of advice, don't turn it on until after you submerge it in the milk. :lol

The nearest Ikea is a couple of hours away but next time I or any friends go I can get them to pick one up! :) Thanks. I'm going to try the jar in the microwave trick again tonight.
We have one of those IKEA frothers and it rocks.

I got a frother for $7. I was for DH, so I don't personally use it, but he loves it.
