Right before I got sick, I had an inspiration for the colors I wanted in our public areas in our house, so DH and I spent a couple days staying up late painting. I'm pretty sure the house won't be magazine-pic worthy for quite a while :shifty, so I took a pic of my computer corner and a corner of the kitchen to give an idea of the colors we picked. One day, maybe I'll be able to get full-room pics.
I like these colors so much better than the pale taupe we had most everywhere, and the white we had in the kitchen (ugh, the most boring black-and-white kitchen evah!).
Here is my computer corner, which is right by the back door, so I can sit and enjoy the breeze and keep an eye on the kids all at once. :rockon The pic is fuzzy because I need a new camera - the kids have had too many times of taking pics with this one, so the lens is a bit, um, imperfect now. :giggle Hmmm, the blue looks not-quite-right, too. It's a fresh sky blue. I think the sunlight coming in is warming it up a little. :shrug3

Here is the color we picked for the kitchen. Ignore the weird faux-marble. DH and Big B did that as a project when I was in the hospital, and let's just say that they needed someone with a bit of T4 to help. :shifty I have fixing that on my mental project list for when I'm up for it. The color isn't quite this fluorescent, but I was having issues with the camera's white balance. This is the closest I could get.

My house is so much brighter and happier now. :cool The T1 part of all of us is loving it so much more than the taupe. :heart The yellow and blue are in the living room. The dining area (part of the living room, sort of) is yellow. The entry way is yellow, and the hallway is blue. When I'm up for it, we'll paint bedrooms, too. Different colors, I think, but still in the airy, happy, beachy family.
