What do you like?

When we had them before I just swept or vacuumed them and once in awhile wiped with wet (not soaking) old cloth diapers.

But it's a lot of floor here! I am fine with the sweeping and/or vacuuming.

I tried the Swiffer wet mop thing but thought it was very wasteful. It would take several to mop the floor.

Is there anything simple and maybe washable?

We have a lot of laminate flooring in this house. I vacuum or sweep mostly, and then use a steam mop when needed.

I use the Swiffer. I don't mop the whole floor every time, just high traffic areas and obvious spots. I wipe up spills as they happen with a damp rag.

Yes, it would just be high traffic areas. I also wipe up spills when they happen.

I'm also thinking about when baby starts crawling. I will want them cleaner then. I have months before that happens though.

I sweep everyday, vacuum when I don't feel like getting the dustpan out :shifty and use a Reveal mop with vinegar and water in it. I also steam mop the floor when the smell of the vinegar nauseates me.:shifty

A spray bottle of vinegar and water and a couple drops of dish soap with a Libman mop has been what seems to work best. I dry the floor afterward if it streaks too much.

We just vacuumed and steam mopped at our old place.
Here we have laminate in 90% of the house and stone in the kitchen and hallway. I steam and vacuum. It was just way too much trouble to swiffer or to do a traditional mop treatment imho. :shifty

I don't have laminate, but lineoleum.

This is what I use. I don't like the disposable swiffer. (http://www.target.com/p/mr-clean-flip-it-blue-microfiber-duster-mop/-/A-13795355#prodSlot=medium_1_2)

I can't find the exact one I use, but basically this is the gist -- r (http://www.target.com/p/o-cedar-promist-system/-/A-13163321?reco=Rec|pdp|13163321|ClickCP|item_page.v ertical_1&lnk=Rec|pdp|ClickCP|item_page.vertical_1)eusable microfiber pads & an attached spray bottle that I fill with vinegar & water.

I vacuum daily (instead of sweeping because of dog hair) and use this every couple days. My 6 yo is the one who usually mops; he loves it. :shrug

Basically I just want something that holds a washable cloth so I don't have to wipe the floor on my hands and knees.

We used to use our feet and slide around like skating with wet rung out cloth diapers under our feet. :)

I use a swifter like thing. It came with a washable rag. Though I'm gonna make several as we have to use. Laundry mat and I can only wash once or so a week, I'm not wasting the money to wash just that. So in gonna make at least 6. That should be plenty. I have a spray bottle of very diluted floor cleaner and lightly spray the floor and mop. :shrug easy and I love it.
