Any one have any ideas on how to get feathers out of a washing machine?
We had a feather pillow explode in the wash this morning. DH scraped most of them out but there is still quite a coating.

Never dealt with feathers, but had several disposable diapers explode. We vacuumed out everything we could see, and then ran a bleach only cycle (labeled clean washer) to get everything else out.:hugheart

right now we are letting it dry out so that we can vacume it - oh I wish for a shop vac but I really don't have room for one.

That's basically what I was going to say. Let dry and vacuum or use carpet shampooer. A lint brush might work, too.

well we got most of them out but I think we are going to be pulling feathers out of our clothes for some time.
