My bbt has always been low. I could only afford one supplement when I went the other day to pick so e up. My local hfs owner suggested that iodine was key to get first.

So I started it. My bbt isn't up as high as it would be to indicate normal thyroid function, but it's been getting higher every day.

I'm trying to figure out if its because of my LP, which I'm in, or if the iodine alone could have such an immediate effect?

We never use birth control and I'm in my LP with what looks like a triphasic chart. So, I'm trying to figure out if I should assume its the iodine and keep from getting my hopes up.

I am not an expert but from what little I know about thyroid issues, be very cautious using iodine supplements if you don't know what your thyroid is doing or suspect possible thyroid issues because it could cause problems.

Donielle at Naturally Knocked Up had a status today about the iodine deficiency that a lot of women in our state have. She lives in the GR area. Might be worth a read. :think

Naturally Knocked Up facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NaturallyKnockedUp?fref=ts) - there's some discussion going on there.

And here's her blog - Naturally Knocked Up (http://www.naturallyknockedup.com/) - she's going to be talking about thyroid issues and fertility issues in the next few weeks. :yes Just got finished reading her book of the same name, actually. Not bad.
