How do I know the difference? I've felt off this week like I was coming down with something. I added elderberry and other than a being tired today I'm fine.

Jon started coughing last night. He is lethargic and feverish. He says his head hurts. I've started dosing him with elderberry and high doses of vitamin d. This is an awful week for any of us to get sick. We have to be well by Thursday.

I can't get him to drink OJ.

What else can I do that I can get in rural Michigan?

High fever generally = flu. Praying that it's a mild case and he'll be over it by Thursday.

Should I take him to the ER for a rapid test?

Cold fevers are usually a lot lower than flu fever. My dd1 had the flu 2 years ago and her fever hovered around 103-104 every night for about 5 nights. Colds don't get up that high.

I need to get batteries for the thermometer. I don't think his is that high.

I wouldn't go to the ER. just do the usual stuff, hydration, comfort, supplements and wait it out. :hug2
