Fun Friday 5 minute challenge/to-do

I plan to make today fun even in the cleaning I have to do.

So far:
Made tea for kombucha (almost used coffee instead of tea :doh)
Decided I needed a coffee before I could think straight :giggle
Quiet time and devo
Changed baby
Fed ds2
Looked at pics with the boys
Fed ds1
Morning chores with the boys
Switched laundry over

I'm joining in for a bit. We have a HS thing from 2-4, so that messes up my flow. :giggle

So far I have:


gotten all dirty dishes into the sink :O
wiped down the stove and dining room table
told the kids to take their clean laundry upstairs and I'm choosing to believe they actually put them away :shifty
baked banana buckwheat muffins for breakfast
put on water to boil for tea and forgot about it :doh


I need to:


wash some dishes
get chickens in the freezer
plan dinner and get out meat
put away clean clothes
take care of chickens
start some new laundry
clean up dog poop :sigh
figure out how to plan a HS field trip by 2:00, when the place that you're going has not put out their event schedule for the day you're supposed to go

I have a ton I need to do today, but it's not going to all get done. :no
DS has preschool from 12:30-3 so that messes up my flow (we have to drive 30 mins to get there each way so I just hang out in town while he's there)

Off to sort some laundry.

Yes it's FRIDAY! I took down xmas decorations today ;) that felt good!
decluttered the kitchen a bit.
tidied the mud room!
made more kefir water
all this with a baby on my back (25 lbs!!!) so that's double the work right ;)

maybe some laundry later...and my room needs a tidy!

Ate and cleaned up lunch. Slow going here today, too. I don't have much more cleaning time because we are going to a play date.

washed breakfast pans
picked up living room 6 times (I like it to look tidy... it is stupid... But I feel so much happier when the only clutter is ...nothing 3 active preschoolers were not help condusive to that ah well:shrug3)
wiped dining room and craft tables and chairs (detailed dining room table - it has a lot of carving/details that needed the gunk scraped out)
Got all 3 kids dressed changed 4 diapers
did a load of laundry
made beds and cleaned up my dresser. (I don't usually do this but the bedrooms were feeling cluttery and I like to do it once a week)
fed kids snack
fed kids a snack
fed kids lunch
did "school" with the kids at the table (we made pom pom animals)
did 2 miles of exercise
put baby down for a nap
rocked 3 year old for 20 minutes and snuggled her (we have one of our 2 extra child care kids today so dd2 won't be napping, wanted to carve out some rest time for her)
did playdoh with the kids.

TO DO:
1 more mile (probably after DH gets home) and my squat and ab challenge.
Put away Laundry...from yesterday :shifty

make PB cookies with the kids :nails
do yoga with the kids (they requested)

Kids decided they didn't want to do yoga after all :phew we did another mile together and another craft (made pipe cleaner xmas trees for their doll house)
I also wiped down the bathroom sink this morning.
The extra child left (she was a CRANK today :sigh) the plus side neither of my kids napped today- so early bedtime...and hopefully no resulting night terrors from over-tiredness :pray4

I am tired. Off to go read with dd2 and pray DH comes home early (he's not due until 6:30)...Today wore me out.

I told DH I wanted a laundry fairy for Christmas. :hissyfit
guess what I didn't get :snooty

why do I hate laundry so much? It's a nice cozy, clean job...The kids don't even have that much clothing in circulation. I just *hate* it. :(

Everytime I go clean I come back and GCM doens't want to load. :hissyfit So I've gotten a fair bit done, just not posted.
