Thinner fingernails

I've been noticing that my finger nails are getting thinner. Not brittle or more fragile or anything, just thinner and really flexible. We're on a mostly dairy free GAPS diet, but a little bit of homeade yogurt. Im not sure i'm getting enough calcium? What else could it be?

I read somewhere that changes in nails happen like 6 months after the fact... Is that true Irene?
