Posting for friend. Bacterial Vaginosis during pregnancy

Need help for a friend whose nursing and pregnant. She has BV and was given a drug that is not supposed to be safe. She needs a safe treatment for both pregnancy and nursing. Thanks!

Met... something. I guess its an 'azole' drug.

Metronidazole? She can take that when pregnant :)

But she's nursing too, and most drs recommend not to?

BV is bacterial, azole's are for fungal infections. I'd check the name of the drug again, she should have been given an antibiotic, usually for pregnancy something that she takes a full 7 days.
