Help me decide on a rug?

I'm getting a rug :woohoo I have tile floors and they are cold in the winter, plus we are in the basement.

Walls are ivory, the floors dark grey and rust tile. I have dark coffeebean leather couches so I want to brighten up the space and have something with a lot of different colors so it will be flexible as far as accent colors. I'm trying to decide between this one (http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Woven-Beige-Holland-Rug-53-x-76/6578602/product.html) and this one (http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Ivory-Geometric-Rug-5-x-76/5538094/product.html).

Would you worry about the first one being so light with 3 boys under 4 in the house?

I like the first one, and I wouldn't worry about the color being too light unless you, say, let them eat spaghetti while lying on the rug.

That's what i was thinking. I like the first one better, but I'm not sure it would look good for long. The second one is pretty too, and I think it would look good for longer.
