Friends of ours and various online sources use a bouillon to put in with the meat. Is this a necessary addition? Would salt work instead?

Asking because I have not found a bouillon that I am happy with and does not contain some form of MSG.

you don't really need either actually- the amount of salt or bullion you are going to add is only for flavor it doesn't add anything to the actual process :shrug3
