I'm only home this morning for about another 3 hrs, and i need to get some stuff done, but i'm feeling a serious lack of motivation. I really just want to crawl back in bed.

I woke up to find dh's work clothes in the dryer and dd2's wet school uniforms spread out all over my room. Ya know, the one's she needs to wear to school today. :doh Now that dd2 is off to school, I have a basket full of wet dh uniforms that need to be dried.

Then I find that dh didn't do a single one of the dinner dishes. I feel like I'm starting my day already behind.

got the kitchen swept, swiffered and mopped while wearing the littlest hoping she would sleep..she did not..till i was done lol
then had a snack with zoe

I felt behind every day until my youngest was 3 yo and much less destructive. I have a few key things that make my day get off to a good start and this morning 2 of those were messed up.

Your oldest is the same age as my middle and you have one more kid. I'm amazed you get anything done! Give yourself a high five for every task you accomplish! :highfive

what are those key things you have to get off to a good start?

Dishes done
Kitchen table clear and clean
All toys put away - I make the kids do this before dinner
Laundry (one load a day) - I throw a load in before bed, dh puts it in the dryer before work, I fold and put away in the morning
Additional clutter piled up in one place instead of all over the house
Dd2's backpack put in correct spot and lunchbox clean and waiting on the counter - I try to do this right after school

:no I detest folding the kids clothes. The basket full of clean stuff has be sitting there for several days. My clothes are mostly hung up, dh's clothes I leave on the bed for him, but only one kid can fold their own clothes.

I'm pretty sure tiny socks that all look exactly the same are the bane of my existence. Between stretching and shrinking, I can't tell which size is which. I made a deal with dd1 that if she sorts all the socks, I would fold all her clothes. She's still working and I've been done for a while. :shifty
