Attack of the urine invaders or why does my bathroom stink

I just scrubbed my toilets yesterday. Why do both my bathrooms smell like someone took a firehose and sprayed urine full force all over every surface?

We have one bathroom that's like that, and it makes me crazy. I begin to suspect a problem with the sealing under the base. :think

OUr bathroom was like that until we remodeled it and got a new toilet. There was nothing I did to stop the smell.

I think the urine can leak under the toilet on the floor. Gross, huh. In my case, it's just one of the joys of boys. :rolleyes

There's only one male in our house. :-/ I do have a potty training tot whose using spotty seat on top of the toilet. A cushiony one. But I washed that too. :biting

did your toddler pee on the bathroom rug while stepping out of the bath? Mine does that all the time :rolleyes

This is totally the case at our house.

But....even little girls can have messes and misses. (And my hubby doesn't aim so great, either ;) ).

I would get a toothbrush and scrub all around where the base meets the floor, wash down any cabinets or walls that are nearby, and look for hidden piddle spots behind/around/the toilet.

Yeah, my girls often have "pee bubbles" as L calls them. If they have their legs too tightly closed, they pee up and over the thighs... Ugh.

You can try spraying everything with Bac-out or spray n wash. Our bathrooms have tile on the floor and walls around the toilet. It so hard to keep them clean.
