curtains for the kids' room

The window in my 6 + 4 year olds' room needs a new curtain. (previously just had a roller shade and we are not doing that again.

Is a tension rod with those ring clips a bad idea? I'm mainly worried about it coming down if they pulled on the curtains.

I have the same worries about curtains. Add that to my having no idea how to do curtains and... mini blinds for ever. :sigh
