Do you have well or city water with chlorine? Sometimes clothes that have been washed a lot in city water actually get MORE dingy. You might try washing and then sunning

Do you have a well? If not probably chlorine. Baking soda actually helps to whiten also.

7th generation makes a chlorine free bleach. They list the ingredients as being water and hydrogen peroxide. Would that work for you?

You could try washing them in tide or blue dawn. Then use blueing.

We have city water and most of our whites have gotten dingy over time. Blueing doesn't help that much. (haven't tried blue Dawn, though.) Oxyclean and really HOT water does brighten them. :rockon And sunning helps too.
