need crochet pattern help please

this is the pattern and I am confused about row 3
I cannot figure out how to do it
am I missing something?

Okay, this is what I think is happening. The first and second row make a little cup shape. Lay the end of the tongue on top of the first three sc matching the edges together. When you do the next three sc, you go through the end of the tongue and the top of the next green sc. This way your tongue is attached.

I don't know if that will help you visualize what to do, but hth.
