I've only done small scale latch hook rugs, never big sizes and I've never had to "finish" one because they were all things I'd done for myself, not as gifts. I'd like to do some as Christmas gifts, but I'm not sure how to finish off the rug. I've seen a couple of tutorials that describe binding and one that mentioned folding over the excess and just using yarn to finish off the edges.
Any personal experience? Or some pictures on how to do the binding because the written directions I saw were a little confusing. :scratch
