If I were to make a Magic Ball of Yarn...

for a man, what would I include? My sDad took up crocheting due to physical disabilities and he loves it. I'm thinking the kids could each make him a MBOY. :) The two things I could come up with are:
candy
notes or little pictures
I need some ideas! He really doesn't do anything but blankets. No other crafting. He doesn't have other hobbies. He owns his own floor cleaning business. Help!

drawings from the kids, candies (but nothing that would melt and ooze onto the yarn!), if he drinks coffee, packs of VIA.
Folding scissors, locking stitch markers, a gift card for Amazon for pattern books... :think

Different kinds of needles (wooden, ergonomic, metal)
Keychain
Little slips of paper with encouraging verses
Pair of socks in center
