I have like, negative money to spend on birthday gifts for parties right now, because of an orthodontist trip this month. :doh :O I had $3 and my sewing stash. This is for a friend's sweet little 3yo minnie mouse birthday party...

....is it giftable? Can you tell it's Minnie Mouse? :shifty

I don't have a serger, but I fused backing to the circles and used fray check around the edges, and obviously the ruffles are t shirt material, so they'll be fine in the wash.

Yes, I can. And it's adorable. That would be $$$$ in a botique.

:phew I hate showing up as the one with the crummy gift. :bag :giggle So that with a little box of M&Ms is solid? (#Aisling kind of stinks at occasion gifts)

DDs keep insisting it needs eyes, but I'm fairly certain that would creepify it quite a bit. :lol :shifty

It is ADORABLE. Super, duper cute. I'd be thrilled to get it.

A tshirt sleeve headband with little matching fabric rosettes would be a super cute addition.

(And the headband suggestion. :tu)

And you can't go wrong with a little chocolate :giggle - it rocks as a gift! Not even close to a sucky present. Not. even. close. :hug

Completely stinkin' adorable. :rockon I've made similar appliqued shirts (though w/o the super cool ruffles!) to give for bday gifts and they've always been biiiiig hits with the birthday child. I see them wearing them around town a lot!:yes

Thanks, y'all! I feel better now. :O I did make a little rosette tshirt headband, and Meep liked it so much (and it looked so darn CUTE on her), I gave it to her and made another one. :lol

Those headbands are so cute and take like 14 seconds to make. We have 97 hundred of them and I never get over the cuteness.

My bet is that it will be the favorite gift, and the one that gets the most "oooooo's" and "aahhh's" at the party. So much better than typical "cluttery" bday party gifts. :shifty

Love it! As a craft-impared mom (who mostly likes it that way ;)), I'd love for my kids to receive that :yes

I have a friend who sews and is super crafty, and she's made my kids some super-awsome gifts. Think Polly Pocket tents with sleeping bags, and aprons and matching oven mitts for pretend play.
