especially when you used crushed vanilla wafers for a crust, and let them sit overnight. :shifty http://atypicalife.net/blog/2005/04/25/hateful-lemon-squares/

if you come by to borrow needles today, there's part of a pan left. But you'd better hurry :P

I have a similar recipe for a custard tart that has a filling of this stuff.

Make a crust with biscuits and butter.
Then make a VERY thick custard with custard powder and milk and some sugar - not too sweet.
Put half the custard on the crust. Then a layer of condensed milk and lemon juice. Then the rest of the custard.
Keep in the fridge (if you don't eat it all at once).

It's awesome, and you can fool yourself that it's not that unhealthy because you didn't put a lot of sugar in the custard. :giggle

Totally unrelated, but sort of related, DH & I were discussing selling everything & moving to Canada. NB was totally at the top of the list, with Pacific Canada second.

What's the job market like? And how do we convince Canadian immigration that Canada neeeeeeeds our awesomeness?

if you work from home, the job market is way cool - because it's a worldwide market!

Otherwise...Canada needs this kind of awesome: http://www.cic.gc.ca/app/ctcvac/english/index

I was looking at the website Reb posted - you're kinda picky who you let in, aren't you? Jim could probably work from home as a videographer if he couldn't find news work.

just wait until you TRY them. You'll hate her, too :P Or at least any jiggly bits you've been trying to lose will hate her.
If you have no jiggly bits, well. Hmph. Enjoy the squares then :giggle

Easiest dessert ever. :) When I made this, I served it straight from the freezer. It had kind of a sherbet texture, and everyone loved it. Very elegant, very easy.
