I am supposed to bring a snack to my Ladies Bible Study tonight. Most people eat dinner before they come, so lots of times sweets are what are brought for a snack. However, I am renewing my efforts to eat less carbs after a reminder from my midwife to take it easy in that area, so what else could I bring? Going to the store in a little while...

Thank you!!

I'd make cucumber dip and serve with pita chips :yes, carrots, or cukes sliced.

6 oz cream cheese, softened and at room temperature
4 cucumbers, diced
4 oz dill
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
juice of 1 lemon
salt and pepper to taste

Combine everything and zap in the blender for a few seconds until slightly chunky. It's a fabulous dip :yes

Another thing that adds protein to a tray of crudités is cut up sausage and cheese. And whole almonds or other nuts.

Thanks, everyone! I ended up doing a half fruit/ half raw veggie tray and made a simple sour cream ranch dip for the veggies. A few ladies actually thanked me for bringing a healthier snack!

That cucumber dip sounds yummy, rachepoo, I'll have to try that next time it's my turn.

Sliced Avacados, sour cream and whole grain crackers.
