Can you tell that this monogram is JMK? And if so, do you like the idea of combining them like this or is that corny? Thanks!

(J for the groom, K for the bride and M for their last name.)

Does this look better?

I think it's very pretty and since you said it was JMK I can see that.... however if you hadn't said it I would have only seen MK.

That's what I'm afraid of. But I can't figure out how to make the J more obvious. :think

:think Try making the J bigger. Or hook on the J look different from the other side of the M.

Pretty. :)
Maybe angle the top of the J more straight across rather than slanted? (kind of like the J in this font) Not sure... But it's really pretty.

I don't really see the J. I know it is a j because you told me.

Even in the second one?

Maybe if you extended the serif on the top of the J to the right also instead of just to the left? Kinda like you'd do a printed (rather than cursive) J in a serif font.

Thank you! I tried it and added it to the OP.

In the third one, I definitely see all three letters.

I like the 3rd one. What is it for? (Or did I miss that? :shifty )

I'm trying to paint something for my cousin's wedding. I'm playing around with some different ideas. (Check my other recent thread in this forum. It'll make you laugh ;) ).

Two "final" contenders. What do you think?

simplier, smaller J

fancier, larger J

:doh I saw that thread, too. It's hilarious! :giggle I don't know why I wasn't associating both with you.

I like the simpler J.

In your second posting of pics, I like the first one, but I feel like the arms of the K should be a little farther away from the M? And maybe add the slight curl at the bottom of the M, like on the second one?

I painted two notecards with the monogram.
