Baked potatoes and.....????

Dd2 has requested baked potatoes for "her" meal this week (each kid gets to pick one). I want to cook some sort of main meat dish to go with but I can't figure out what goes with the meat I have. I have 2 options: cubed beef (like stew but a slightly better cut) or ground beef.

Any ideas? We have a fairly well stocked pantry/fridge.

Meatloaf would definitely shock my kids. :think I have all the fixings for that I think. Dh would be taken right back to his childhood. :giggle

My kids LOVE chilli on baked potatoes. It's often a meal to use leftover chilli though.

What about meat balls? Like Ikea style meatballs:giggle

I made taco meat tonight for our baked potatoes.

I make a shepherd's pie with taco meat under and mashed potatoes and cheese melted on top. Bake it.

My dd has requested the baked potatoes so she can slather them with sour cream, butter & bacon bits. :giggle They are her favourite. So my meat 'go with' can't actually touch the potato. :giggle

I am going to make chili for later this week though. We eat it over rice. It is the only dish I make where my kids will eat beans.
