Here are Marcus and Sophie's handmade valentine outfits. (You should be able to click on thumbnails to see a larger view if I did this right.)
Marcus asked for a Robot or Caveman valentine shirt. (Odd request, but that is what he wanted.) So I made him a Robot T-Shirt that said "Love Machine".

It is an applique that was done on my embroidery machine. Really we need a message board capable of "tactile-perception" to get the feel for this t-shirt. The gray is this silver chenille/minky/velvety-stretchy-mystery fabric that is SO soft. (I honestly don't know what this fabric is. I just had it in my scrap bag.) The black is a corduroy. The two fabrics really create an extra soft and touchy robot applique. This was my first time ever using my new embroidery machine on a t-shirt. I am still very much a beginner...so as you can see I am still getting the hang of things.
Sophie wanted a matching t-shirt of course since she likes to be just like her big brother. So she also got a robot t-shirt. (Her has puff sleeves though.)

I also sewed Sophia a matching skirt. Sophie is very much into pockets. Everything she wears has to have lots and lots of pockets. So I put in some deep gathered pockets for her in the skirt. (She used these today to stash about 4-5 pacifiers for back up.)

This morning she actually didn't want to wear the skirt, but I bribed her with fruit snacks so she put it on for the party. :)
Here's the complete outfit together:

And here is the obligatory "stand by the door and let me take your picture" shot:
